Publication in peer-reviewed journals is an important way in which the Upstate Freshwater Institute meets its stated goals. UFI has prepared over 190 manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed science and engineering journals on a wide range of topics concerning aquatic ecology and water quality. Two entire issues of journals have been devoted to comprehensive studies conducted by UFI. Additionally, UFI prepared a book summarizing studies conducted on Onondaga Lake, as well as numerous professional reports.
